The Impact of IFRS in Islamic Countries

This capstone analyzes how Islamic accounting works in predominantly Muslim countries and the impacts of adopting the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in the following five Islamic nations: Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The paper aims to answer the research questions how does IFRS impact Islamic countries? Is it more beneficial than Islamic accounting?
