The Effects of Cybersecurity on the Accounting Profession

The purpose of this capstone project report was to study and understand the relationship between individuals and companies regarding cybersecurity. Moreover, this report will also assist and encourage accountants and the accounting industry in implementing and requiring cybersecurity risk management programs in organizations to protect stakeholders, employees, and the organization. The report also discusses the impact of an organization’s reliance on technology and the corresponding rise of cybercrime in the accounting profession.
