AUTEM: Adjustable Stand-Up Bed Unit

The following report is an in-depth research and development document conducted and compiled by Drake Eaton Birmann as part of the Industrial Design thesis project at Humber College. This is documentation for the design of AUTEM the revolutionary mobility aid that assists older adults who choose to live alone and prolongs their independence. Bed mobility assistance that aims to prevent falls in older adults is a meaningful research pursuit. The report covers the entirety of the thesis project from initial research to final concept design.
